Welcome

The Musichouse Idea Exchange is an online resource that provides music teachers access to shared practical solutions to the ongoing challenges encountered in our school’s music programs every day.  One thing that we all know is that the music teaching community is one of the most committed and sharing communities in all of education.  Based on that understanding we have created the Musichouse Idea Exchange so that music educators can work cooperatively to share their ideas, energy and successful strategies.  The real potential of the Exchange lies in the members of the music community who can visit regularly to share their knowledge and experiences with each other, so please take advantage of this opportunity and share.  Thanks for visiting.  We are very excited to have you as part of our community.

The Musichouse Idea Exchange provides music teachers with access to a variety of unique supports:

We provide a growing library of links to online resources like articles, videos and websites each sharing experience-based information on a variety of relevant music teaching topics.  Our conveners are continually searching for new and valuable things to add to our library.

We provide teachers with networking opportunities via the forum section of this website including a shoutbox for 'intime' chat between visitors.

We provide a growing database of community-shared music resources - everything from lesson plans to lyric sheets. As members join and contribute we all benefit.

Our “Ask a Friend” feature will connect a visitor with one of our conveners for direct assistance.

Finally, for those located within the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and its neighbouring boards we do offer in-person workshops and consultations.  Please contact us directly for specifics.
